PTARDIO
PTARDIO
PUPPETARDIO community token: launched earlier in 2024, showcasing a unique approach to token distribution through the Pump-fun platform. In an effort to promote fairness and community engagement, upon launch, the Puppetardio community immediately purchased 50% of the entire available supply of the token and distributed it among its members with the rest funded by public buying the pump-fun... The distribution was based on the number of Puppetardios each member held at the time of a recent snapshot, ensuring an equitable allocation that reflected community participation. The Creation of the new (fake) PTARDIO Coin: The story begins when Richard E. Ptardio, without his knowledge or consent, had a memecoin named PTARDIO created on the Solana blockchain via the platform Pump-fun. This token was essentially a parody, reflecting the whimsical nature of memecoin culture, where tokens are often created for fun or as a form of internet meme. Richard found out about this when he was gifted 700 million PTARDIO tokens by the creators of this coin, who were playfully engaging with his persona. The Surge in Value: Shortly after its creation, the (fake) PTARDIO token saw an unexpected surge in value, peaking at nearly $1 million due to a 1,765% increase in price within a short period. This surge was likely fuelled by the novelty and the humorous aspect of having a token named after a character who had become somewhat of a crypto celebrity through his posts. The Charitable Donation: Richard E. Ptardio, true to his character's humorous and somewhat noble nature, decided to distance himself from the project by selling his entire stake in the PTARDIO token. He converted the tokens into 313.4 Solana (SOL), which at the time was equivalent to $69,000, and donated this amount to "Save the Children." This act of charity was shared on X to emphasize his disassociation from the memecoin project while turning the unexpected windfall into a positive contribution towards a good cause. Support for Puppetardios: In a twist of fate, Richard E. Ptardio then discovered the Puppetardios, a group of crypto-currency enthusiasts who had been creating their own humorous images and tokens, calling themselves 'Ptardios' long before Richard's memecoin incident. This coincidence in naming brought Richard and the Puppetardios together in a humorous narrative. Richard, in his characteristic style, embraced this connection, supporting the Puppetardios by acknowledging them as the "original" Ptardios and $PTARDIO token
